Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited the positions of the Ukrainian army in the direction of Bakhmut.
During the inspection, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine walked the entire line of contact and met with commanders who work on operations planning, assault operations and defense. According to Syrsky, the Ukrainian army continues to hold strategic lines in the direction of Bakhmut.
“Direction Bakhmut. Our defense continues. I walked the entire line of contact. Here we work with commanders and soldiers on planning operations, assault actions and defense, we control the situation directly on the ground,” he said.
Recall that earlier the head of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that after the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot a wounded “Wagnerian” who was taken prisoner, “no one else in Bakhmut will be taken prisoner, everyone will only be killed”.
