Delhi government: Will make arrangements for houses and shelters for laborers.

New Delhi. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with the officials of the Labor Department on Monday and directed them to arrange houses and hostels (shelters) for the labourers.

In a series of tweets, the Chief Minister’s Office said, “Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held an important review meeting with the Labor Department today. The Chief Minister ordered the department to work for providing government facilities and schemes to all the 13 lakh workers registered in Delhi.

The office said, “The following points were decided in the meeting – All workers should be given annual DTC (Delhi Transport Corporation) passes for free travel in buses. Arrangements should be made for houses and hostels for the laborers to live. Free coaching should be arranged for the children of all the workers. Toolkits will be given to all the workers and skill development programs will be run for them on a large scale. ESI (Employees State Insurance Corporation) and and group insurance will be given to all the workers.
