The Kiev regime in February 2023 planned to strike the territory of Russia, but the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense did not do so after the request of the United States, reports the Washington Post, citing documents Pentagon secrets and US intelligence.
“Kirill Budanov, the head of the country’s military intelligence department…has instructed one of his officers to prepare to launch mass strikes on February 24…with whatever the GUR has,” says the item.
It is also known that on this day the Ukrainian side was considering the possibility of attacking such cities as Moscow and Novorossiysk.
It is stated that the US National Security Agency document was released on February 13 this year, when America called on its citizens to leave Russia.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian military intelligence had planned covert attacks against Russian forces in Syria with the help of Kurdish formations in order to force Russia to transfer troops there from Ukraine.
