Popular Russian singer Philip Kirkorov spoke in an interview with aif.ru about his relationship with future Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensyy.
Kirkorov has known Zelenskyy for more than a decade, since he came to Kiev to film the 95th quarter program. According to the artist, they had a wonderful relationship, and Zelenskyy really wanted to break into the Russian television market. Kirkorov helped him by offering to become a co-host of his TV show Factor A, which they hosted together on the Rossiya channel.
Kirkorov also said that he had already helped Zelenskyy find accommodation in Moscow. The future president of Ukraine lived with him for free for six months in an apartment on Filippovsky Lane, when he was not yet famous enough to rent a separate apartment.
The last time they saw each other was in 2015 in Miami, when Zelenskyy was trying on shoes in a mall.
“When he saw me,” the singer says, “he looked away. What’s happening to him now is a complete revelation to me. I don’t recognize him. He’s a different person. An absolute zombie who doesn’t can’t see or hear anything.
Previously, Russian pop king Philip Kirkorov expressed his disappointment with the Eurovision Song Contest, which he attends every year, including in May 2022 when he visits Turin.
