Sergei Vereshchagin replaces Yuri Lapshin as Prime Minister of the Krasnoyarsk Territory
Deputy Chairman of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Government Sergey Vereshchagin became acting. head of the regional government in place of Yuri Lapshin, who resigned on Sunday, informs the press service of the governor of the region.
Previously, the acting governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov, decided to dismiss the regional government.
Lapshin has headed the regional government since 2018, while Alexander Uss served as governor. On Thursday Uss said he had received an offer from Russian President Vladimir Putin to continue working at the federal level. The Russian leader accepted Uss’s resignation and appointed Kotyukov, then Russia’s deputy finance minister.
