The Chinese Foreign Ministry respects the sovereignty of all states that were part of the Soviet Union. This was announced by the official representative of the department, Mao Ning, commenting on the remarks of the Chinese ambassador in Paris, Lu Shae.
“China respects the sovereignty of all former republics of the USSR,” RT quotes the diplomat as saying.
Recall that Chinese Ambassador to France Lu Shae said that Crimea is historically Russian. Mao Ning added that the media often misinterpret China’s position, thus sowing discord between the PRC and other countries.
Earlier, the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbin, said that the country supports the European side to facilitate the early resumption of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. He noted that Beijing advocates the creation of an effective and sustainable framework to ensure security in Europe.
