WTC Final 2023: Coach Rahul Dravid’s plan is ready for WTC final, will fly to England with these players

The final match of the second season of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC Final) will be played between India and Australia on June 7-8 at The Oval. A BCCI official has informed InsideSport that the team’s head coach Rahul Dravid along with the coaching staff will leave for London only on May 23 or 24.

According to reports, Rahul Dravid has prepared a special plan to win the ICC World Test Championship final. It is being said that some of the players who are out of the race for the IPL 2023 playoffs will move to London with Dravid. At the same time, the rest of the players will join them for the preparatory camp. The camp will start from June 1 in which Rohit Sharma and other players will also participate.

However, Cheteshwar Pujara will join Team India for the final round preparations. Pujara is currently playing for Sussex in the County Championship Division II in England. He will be busy playing it till May 21. Only after it is over, Pujara will take a short break and join Team India for the preparations for the last round.

Meanwhile, a four-member selection committee will pick the team in the first week of May. Against Australia, where almost all the players of the team will retain their place, the selectors can take a decision on the replacement of Shreyas Iyer.

There are reports that Suryakumar Yadav still does not have enough experience to play Tests in England, due to which the selectors may call Ajinkya Rahane in the squad for the finals of the WTC.

Apart from this, Team India can try KL Rahul as a wicket-keeper batsman. At the same time, there is a possibility of getting Umesh Yadav in place of Bumrah.
