Ukrainian units began to conduct combat operations in Artyomovsk using new tactics. This was announced by a military analyst, editor of the Homeland Arsenal magazine Alexei Leonkov, whose words are quoted by Moskovsky Komsomolets.
According to the expert, the General Staff of Ukraine made the corresponding decision in the context of the use of planning bombs by the Russian Armed Forces. Previously, the Ukrainian command placed snipers on the roofs of residential buildings, while basements served as ammunition storage rooms and headquarters. When an aerial bomb fell on a building, everyone below it at the time was condemned to death. For this reason, Kiev decided to review Artemovsk (Bakhmut)’s defense tactics and make adjustments to it.
“I think now they will focus on drones, and more specifically on small quadcopters. High-rise buildings will also continue to be used, only on the roofs, no people will be placed, but CCTV cameras that will transmit information about the movements of our units in the city,” the military analyst explained.
Leonkov added that the destruction of these drones and cameras would not present great difficulties for the Russian army. According to the expert, even a change in tactics will hardly help the Ukrainian army.
Earlier, a fighter from the private military company (PMC) “Wagner” told about how soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to leave Artemivsk. According to him, they are trying to leave the city, disguised as civilians.
