Over Vnukovo, the air zone was closed due to reports of a drone

Airspace has been closed over Moscow’s Vnukovo airport due to a suspected drone, TASS reports, citing an emergency service source. According to him, an unknown plane was seen in the sky.

“Law enforcement received a message that an unknown unmanned aerial vehicle was seen in the sky over Vnukovo airport. For security reasons, the airspace was blocked” , explained the interlocutor of the agency.

He underlined the checks that the police have begun to carry out on the spot.

At Vnukovo airport, the agency was informed that the last plane took off from the airport at 8:00 p.m. The flight to Istanbul is operated by Turkish Airlines. Currently, according to the FlightRadar portal, there are no aircraft over the airport.

Earlier it was reported that a drone with two parachutes was found in the Pavlovsky Posad district of the Moscow region. Currently, security forces are in the process of establishing the owner of the device. No explosives or explosive devices were found on or near the drone. The dimensions of the drone are two meters by two, it is unmarked.
