PAK vs NZ: New Zealand beat Pakistan with Mark Chapman’s stormy century

PAK vs NZ: With the help of Mark Chapman’s career-first century, New Zealand defeated Pakistan by six wickets in the fifth and final T20 International cricket match to level the five-match series 2-2. New Zealand had a target of 194 runs but by the 10th over their score was 73 for four. Chapman took over from here.

He scored an unbeaten 104 off 57 balls with 11 fours and four sixes and shared an unbroken 121-run partnership in nine overs for the fifth wicket with James Neesham (45 not out off 25 balls).

With this, New Zealand achieved the target by losing four wickets in 19.2 overs. Pakistan had scored 193 runs for five wickets after being invited to bat first. For him, opener Mohammad Rizwan scored an unbeaten 98 off 62 balls which included seven fours and four sixes. Apart from this wicket-keeper batsman, Iftikhar Ahmed contributed 36 and Imad Wasim contributed 31 runs.

Blair Tickner took three wickets for 33 runs for New Zealand. This win is also important for New Zealand because its key players are playing in the Indian Premier League in India. He also achieved the second highest total against Pakistan in the shortest format of the game.

This is New Zealand’s 100th win in T20 International cricket. A five-match ODI series will now be played between the two teams, the first match of which will be held in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
