The implementation of the cereals agreement cannot continue if all the points of the agreement are not respected. This was announced on Monday April 24 by the head of state’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

Commenting on Moscow’s official stance on the prospects of the Black Sea Food Initiative, the Kremlin spokesman expressed his belief that “it cannot go on without fulfilling the conditions.”

The grain deal was discussed at a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and UN Secretary General António Guterres. The politicians spoke for about an hour and a half. Details of the conversation have yet to be released.

According to the current agreements, the grain agreement is valid until May 18. However, Moscow is wondering about the possibility of its extension, because the agreement on the export of Russian cereals and fertilizers still does not work.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has warned that without the extension of the grain agreement, the world faces a food crisis, so it is important to ensure the unhindered export of agricultural products and food. fertilizer from Russia.
