New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to 11th-century Hindu saint Sri Ramanujacharya on his birth anniversary and said he worked towards building a society that was modern and harmonious.
Ramanujacharya is known as a great philosopher of the Vaishnava tradition. It is believed that he was born in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu in 1017 AD. In a tweet, Modi said, “I bow to Sri Ramanujacharya on his birth anniversary. His thoughts continue to give strength and wisdom to millions of people.
He was always proud of our cultural roots and also worked towards building a society that is modern and harmonious.
