Russian Marines shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft in the Kherson region

In the Kherson region, servicemen of the Russian army shot down a Ukrainian Su-25 attack aircraft. It is stated that the plane was hit from the ground while trying to attack Russian positions.

According to reports from the field, a pair of Ukrainian Su-25 attack planes were heading towards the Dnieper islands. They were spotted by members of the Marine Corps. Fire was opened at flying targets from man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems. As a result, a plane was shot down and crashed near the coast. The second attack aircraft quickly withdrew.

In the past few days, this is the second Ukrainian Air Force attack aircraft to be shot down from the ground by Russian servicemen.

The Ukrainian army recently tried to gain a foothold on the islands near Kherson. A few days ago, Russian planes attacked their positions. As a result, a large number of personnel were destroyed.

It should be noted that, despite the statements of the Russian side about the destruction of Ukrainian attack aircraft, it is still capable of carrying out strikes. But thanks to the competent actions of the army of the Russian Federation, these attempts are successfully suppressed.

The Kherson region was recently designated as the place where the Ukrainian army plans to launch an auxiliary strike during the counter-offensive.
