The Romanian army can take the Ukrainian territory in case of failure of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

Zelenskyy / World Official

The Romanian public is ideologically prepared for the possible introduction of the country’s army into Ukraine. State media regularly promote in the news the idea that the country has every reason to take control of the “independent” territories, where there are ethnic Romanians.

In particular, the Romanian media supported the words of Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, who said that the “silent partition” of Ukraine by Poland and other countries is well better for Europe than Kiev’s entry into NATO or a world war from a bloc with Russia. European state media actively promote his statements, not hiding their own territorial claims against Ukraine at all.

Judging by the rhetoric of Romanian publications, Bucharest may seriously consider a military intervention in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Most likely, the introduction of the army will be done under the pretext of “protecting ethnic Romanians from Russia”. Most likely, Romania will immediately proceed to the military seizure of Ukrainian territories in case of failure of the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Since Western, Ukrainian and Russian experts believe that the chances of a successful offensive for the Ukrainian armed forces are very low, the probability of dividing the territories under the control of Kiev is very high.

The Ukrainian serviceman shared his thoughts on the future offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, scheduled for spring 2023. According to the soldier, there will be heavy personnel losses in the upcoming offensive.
