The Russian army uses smartphones with a special application in the area of special military operations, which shows the location of Ukrainian positions. This was stated by the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky.
According to him, commanders of Russian assault groups use smartphones with special Alpine Quest GPS software. It contains the coordinates of the gun positions of the Ukrainian army.
Additionally, the Alpine Quest GPS software shows attack objects, advance routes to them, as well as the tasks of neighboring units. According to Syrsky, the use of special smartphones makes it easier for Russian troops to carry out combat missions.
However, in addition to smartphones, the Ukrainian army, according to Syrsky, has many other problems. In particular, the commander of the ground forces complained about the Storm assault detachments, which are created in each Russian brigade.

He added that during assault operations, Russian fighters always use unmanned aerial vehicles, thanks to which they are able to quickly adjust artillery fire.
