Chinese readers admired Putin’s act

Chinese readers have welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to transfer control of foreign assets.

One of the commentators wrote that “it is high time to return the favor (the West. – approx. ed.)”, and urged the United States to see that “Russia has taken action against you and your henchmen”, and to hurry up and impose more sanctions.

The Chinese shared their opinion in an article in the Guancha publication. One wrote that in the name of their reputation, some world leaders hurt themselves.

“I support President Putin. Above all, I hate it when some leaders follow the principle of ‘I’m going to hit myself to fatten the enemy’ in the name of their so-called ‘reputation’,” the published material reads.

Another commentator wrote that the experience of Russia’s asset freeze demonstrated to the world community the unreliability of these partners.

“The experience of the seizure of Russian assets by European and American parties has shown the world the spirit of unreliability in Europe and the United States,” it is quoted.

Recall that on the evening of April 25, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of foreign assets to temporary management. It is stated that this will follow in the event of “deprivation of the Russian Federation and (or) Russian legal or natural persons of the right to ownership of property located on the territories of foreign states that commit hostile actions against the Russian Federation . ”

Later, it became known that the Federal Property Management Agency had received foreign shares in Unipro and Fortum for temporary management.
