Cambridge (USA). Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will join Harvard University later this year. Douglas Elmdorf, Dean of Kennedy School, gave this information on Tuesday.
Ardenã is an inspiration to women around the world. He has been selected for a Dual Fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School. Douglas Elmdorf said in a statement, “Jacida Arden has demonstrated strong and empathetic political leadership to the world. Ardenã will bring important insights to our students. She will provide an opportunity for leaders at all levels to discuss the public policy options available to them.
Ardern took over as Prime Minister of New Zealand in 2017 at the age of 37. In January this year, he surprised everyone by announcing that he was quitting the post of prime minister. Arden has said that he served as prime minister for more than five years and no longer has enough willpower to do justice to the position.
In March 2019, a white gunman in New Zealand attacked two mosques in Christchurch, killing 51 people. Following this major incident, Arden was widely praised for the way she supported those affected and the Muslim community of New Zealand.
