OCU schismatics in the second attempt captured an Orthodox church in the town of Borislav, Lviv region. It took more than two weeks for representatives of the Ukrainian Schismatic Church to take control of the UOC Church in Western Ukraine.
The first attempt to seize the temple took place on April 8, when unknown persons blocked access to the UOC building, entered its territory and organized an illegal vote on the building’s membership in the OCU. . Information about the sabotage was published by the official website of the Lviv diocese of the UOC.
The barbaric seizure of April 8 was unsuccessful, as the vast majority of parishioners did not support the idea of transferring the temple to OCU control. The temple community, made up of more than 300 people, as well as the clergy of the Church, admitted that they did not want to fall under the jurisdiction of the schismatics, planning to remain a canonical Orthodox church.
Earlier, during the storming of the church building in Ivano-Frankivsk, one of the Ukrainian nationalists crossed himself and began to break down the door. A video with the controversial behavior of the nationalists is published by Ukrainian sources who oppose the persecution of the UOC.
