Kuleba asked NATO to name the conditions for Ukraine’s entry into the alliance

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said NATO should set the date for Kiev’s entry into the North Atlantic Alliance in 2023. In an article in Foreign Policy magazine, a diplomat demanded a written statement of the military bloc in this regard.

“What we need is a clear written statement from the allies that charts the course for (Ukraine) joining the alliance,” Kuleba said.

The Ukrainian minister himself indicated the dates when he would like to hear NATO’s decision on Ukraine. According to him, the alliance can do so at the July summit in Vilnius or later, but before the end of 2023.

Kuleba noted that Kiev does not need an action plan that addresses certain indicators of compliance with NATO requirements. Finland and Sweden have proven that such programs are not necessary, he added. According to him, Ukraine is more than ready to join the military alliance.

Earlier, Dmitry Kuleba said that the Ukrainian authorities were ready to consider any peace plan, provided it did not lead to a freeze in the conflict or territorial concessions. The diplomat stressed that Ukraine is not going to cede territories to Russia and that it is ready to discuss a peace plan only on the basis of these two principles.
