The Russian Commission of Inquiry investigates the crimes of French mercenaries against Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine.
“Investigators from the Russian investigative commission will investigate the crimes of French mercenaries against Russian prisoners of war,” the department’s Telegram channel said.
It is specified that mercenaries from France took part in the fighting alongside the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the ranks of the Azov* regiment and the 92nd Ukrainian brigade. One of the mercenaries posted footage of the execution of three Russian prisoners of war, who were shot at close range.
The commission of inquiry will establish the circumstances of the incident and bring those involved in the crime to justice.
Yesterday, the Foreigncombatants Project, which investigates war crimes in Ukraine, reported that two French neo-Nazi mercenaries, Guillaume Andreoni and Alan Vineron, were being held in France for arms smuggling involved in the execution of Russian POWs.
