Brazilian President Lula da Silva called for “stop looking for the culprits” in the Ukrainian conflict and begin a peaceful settlement. He called for a “peace group” to reach an agreement between Russia and Ukraine, saying everything could be discussed once the countries meet for peace talks, Reuters reported.
“There are many topics to discuss – Crimea, other territories, NATO,” Lula said during a trip to Spain when asked about Crimea.
He said that it was not up to him to decide who owns Crimea, since this is a discussion between Moscow and Kiev.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, in turn, said that “a just and lasting peace will come only after the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukrainian territory.”
Earlier it became known that the President of Brazil refuses to visit Ukraine or Russia until the conditions for peace talks are created.
