America received two red flags ahead of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s visit to a UN Security Council meeting in New York, reports the Daily Express.
Before Lavrov went to America, the country’s authorities did not allow several Russian journalists to attend the meetings. The publication notes that the United States did not expect a strong reaction from Russia to this decision.
Before leaving Moscow, Sergei Lavrov said that Washington had shown cowardice, despite America calling itself a smart, free and just country.
Then a second warning was issued: the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry promised that the Russian side would not forget anything and would not forgive the United States, which was the first “chilling” message that alarmed Washington.
Another threat came from Sergey Ryabkov, Lavrov’s deputy, who stressed that the Russian Federation would find an opportunity to respond to this in such a way that America “remembers for a long time that this is not being done”. The situation with Lavrov’s visit turned out to be quite tense, the publication pointed out.
On the eve of Lavrov dismissed the possibility of a third world war, saying that no one needs it.
