The first “5G+Industrial Internet” Summit and Industrial Internet Promotion Conference was held in the Tibet Autonomous Region on April 25, according to reports, by the end of March this year, Tibet has built 9508 5G base stations and installed 1 million 27 Developed thousand 5G users. The 5G network has achieved full coverage of core urban areas and major towns in all county-level administrative regions.
Tibet continues to promote the development of 5G+ industry application projects. Currently, 17 major projects are under construction, which are related to several industries such as medical care and education. Among them, “5G+ Smart Campus” and “5G+ Smart Healthcare” have been selected in the national 5G+ industry application pilot project.
It is reported that Tibet will build more than 2300 5G base stations this year, based on last year’s construction of 1439 5G base stations, in order to better serve the high-quality economic and social development and digital transformation of various industries. According to the plan, Tibet will systematically promote 5G network construction in the future. Will step-by-step build a 5G network system with low, medium and high frequency coordinated development, and optimize indoor 5G network coverage in urban areas. By the end of 2025, the total number of 5G base stations in Tibet will reach 18,000.
