The creative honor of the Arctic capital was defended by the Murmansk Regional Puppet Theater and Children’s Theater School.

Grodno Regional Puppet Theater and Vitebsk Theater “Lyalka” showed three performances. The depiction of Grodno “Gilded Fronts” is a jester about a simple peasant Kapiton, about his neighbor the king and the wife of King Agrafena. The Vitebsk Theater “Lyalka” presented a play in the Belarusian language. It is collected from episodes of various folk tales and is called “Kazki pra kazku” (“Tales about a fairy tale”).

The play premiered in September 2018. A year later “Kazki pra kazka” was seen in Russia. The production returned with diplomas from the festivals “Drinking tea in Mytishchi” and “Shombay-fest” in Kazan.

The Vitebsk troupe has already performed in Murmansk. Belarusian puppeteers brought here a musical fairy tale about a curious elephant. Since then, the teams of Vitebsk and Murmansk theaters have maintained close ties, they met at the “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”.

The building of the “Lyalka” theater is a permanent place for the international festival “Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk”. This year, it will be held from July 12 to 17. On July 15, the Murmansk Puppet Theater will perform at the Lyalka Theater with the play Little Red Riding Hood. Also at the “Bazaar”, the Novosibirsk and Perm puppet theaters, two theaters of St. Petersburg, will perform, and “Lyalka” will present its best performance “Fairy Tale Fairy Tale”.
