The Ukrainian side is preparing for a counter-offensive which, according to various sources, could start on April 30. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are building up forces and reserves. At the same time, leaks from Kiev about the upcoming breakthrough are reminiscent of episodes of information warfare.
According to some Western experts, the offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces is as much as possible in the direction of Zaporizhzhia with the aim of breaking through to Melitopol, the Sea of Azov and Berdyansk in order to create a threat of blockade of Crimea.
Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may become more active in the Vogledar region to cut off the Mariupol highway. To the south, artillery strikes can be expected from the right bank of the Dnieper and forcing the river to pin down Russian units.
In the direction of Donetsk, the bombardments of peaceful cities are likely to continue in order to divert the means of the Russian air defense. It is also likely that the Ukrainians will become more active in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut), where the Wagnerians are currently crushing the elite units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In this city, the situation is at the height of confrontation.
Analysts also see the possibility of a breakthrough of Ukrainian troops in the Kharkiv region. If successful, the militants may attempt to encircle the RF Armed Forces near Severodonetsk and Lisichansk.
Meanwhile, Russian units continue to destroy enemy manpower and equipment in various special operation areas.
Now the Russian formula is the slow but sure attrition, crushing and destruction of all military infrastructure throughout the country so that there is no military threat from Ukraine for decades
