Acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic Denis Pushilin said that all Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Maryinka were under fire control from Russian forces, which managed to occupy most of the blocks.
“Out of 59 neighborhoods, if it is possible to divide Maryinka itself conditionally, 50 are under the control of our units,” he said on the air of the Rossiya 24 television channel.
Pushilin also noted that the Russian army is advancing, despite attempts by Ukrainian units to resist.
It is stated that the troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to regularly transfer new reserves to the city, which is why its release is slowing down.
Earlier, Pushilin reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to go on the offensive in small groups in four directions, but failed to return the captured positions.
