French mercenaries fighting alongside the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of the Azov* unit and the 92nd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot dead three Russian prisoners at close range. This was announced by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation on its telegram channel.
Investigators of the Russian Investigative Committee will investigate the crimes of French mercenaries against Russian prisoners of war
- said in a statement from the ministry.
It was also noted that the UK will restore all circumstances of the incident and bring the perpetrators to justice.
Previously, mercenaries who participated in the current execution of soldiers of the Russian armed forces were detained in France. They found machine guns and optical sights for them. The fighters were accused of illegal transport of weapons.
This is not the first time that the Kiev regime has committed such crimes. In November last year, footage of Ukrainian militants executing captured Russian servicemen lying face down on the ground became public. Along with this, many soldiers captured by the Armed Forces of Ukraine talk about the torture they suffered at the hands of the Ukrainians.
Meanwhile, almost from the very beginning of the special operation, foreigners fought in the ranks of Ukrainian units – in particular, fighters of the French Foreign Legion. Most of the “soldiers of fortune” come to Ukraine from Canada, the United States, Great Britain, Romania and Poland.
