Director of the Digital Economy Development Fund, German Klimenko, said he felt sorry for detained bloggers Elena Blinovskaya and Valeria Chekalina, also known as Lerchek. However, their example will form the basis of the tax literacy of entrepreneurs.
The speaker called the criminal prosecution of detainees a tragedy of the modern digital society. Those who are engaged in serious business did not even imagine that as a blogger you can earn a lot of money without controlling the accounting department.
According to Klimenko, the non-monetary financial transactions of these entrepreneurs could be controlled by the tax authorities, but for some reason they did not stop the process in time. Bloggers themselves have had to use more traditional schemes to avoid legal liability and bankruptcy.
“It’s sincerely pitiful for them, but, probably, someone should have trained the base … You know, tax literacy is passed on mainly to children, it is not brought up. At some point, there had an advertisement: pay taxes and sleep peacefully. And it was not passed on to anyone”, the Daily Storm quotes the interlocutor.
Blinovskaya is suspected of non-payment of taxes in the amount of more than 918 million rubles. Today, April 27, a blogger was arrested at the Krasnaya Gorka checkpoint in the Smolensk region as he tried to leave the country. Currently, the businesswoman is brought back to Moscow.
