Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan will together attend the fuel delivery ceremony at the Akkuyu nuclear power plant. This was announced by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov.
According to a Kremlin spokesman, a telephone conversation between the leaders of the Russian Federation and Turkey is scheduled for 3 p.m. After that, as Peskov said, joint participation in the ceremony on the occasion of the delivery of Russian nuclear fuel to power unit No. 1 of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant is expected.
“This event will take place by videoconference,” said the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed the situation in Ukraine and the gas hub project. The negotiations took place over the telephone.
