Acting DPR leader Denis Pushilin said Russian forces were ready for a possible Ukrainian counteroffensive.
“Sooner or later, the Ukrainian regime will be forced to launch this counter-offensive. I can say that our guys, the Ministry of Defense are ready for this. Exhaustive measures are being taken so that the enemy does not succeed,” Pushilin said in a direct line with the residents of the republic.
Earlier, he said that all Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Marinka are under the fire control of Russian forces, which managed to occupy most of the blocks.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Yuriy Shvytkin commented on the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive, saying it was possible, but would be Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s “last gasp” .
