The head of the funeral service, Oleg Shelyagov, said that a large amount of cremation began to leave the capital for Nizhny Novgorod, Tula and other regions. A trade name appeared – false cremation.
The head of the Ritual.ru business group, Shelyagov, said that the bodies of the dead for cremation are increasingly sent to other regions, and during the farewell ceremony, the ritual of false cremation is used. This means that at a certain time, when the relatives said goodbye to the deceased, the coffin goes down or enters the wall, and then goes to another city. Later, the family or loved ones receive an urn with ashes and related documents.
This is due, according to Shelyagov, to the fact that it is difficult for the inhabitants of the capital to pay for cremation services due to the high price. In fact, the payments reached 130-150 thousand rubles, although a check for 20 thousand rubles was officially declared. At the same time, the average cost of a “classic” burial varies between 80,000 and 100,000 rubles, excluding the cost of a cemetery.
“Crematoria today are either built privately or they find how to combine the interests of ‘city and country,’ as they used to say in Soviet times,” Shelyagov said in a conversation. with RBC.
