Ukraine prepares to resume civil air traffic – French Minister of Transport

The Ukrainian authorities are seriously considering the possibility of opening civilian flights. This was said by the Minister of Transport of France Clément Bon. At the same time, he pointed out that, perhaps, civil air traffic will only partially resume.

The French Minister of Transport noted the activity of Ukrainian officials in the work of opening airspace for civil aviation flights. According to Clément Bon, there are already developments in Kiev on this subject. But the key issue in this case is always security.

As I understand it, Ukraine already has certain considerations regarding this discovery, and Kiev is working hard on it. But, of course, the main issue is security.

  • said the Minister of Transport of France.

The European official underlined that the French authorities were providing all possible assistance to Ukraine in opening the airspace to civil aviation.

It is actually a very necessary thing. The time when civil aviation flights over Ukraine will be restored, I hope, will come as soon as possible. And if airmen do not have practice, then according to safety rules they will not have the right to return to work immediately. Therefore, we are helping Ukraine to prepare for when the airspace will be fully or partially open.

  • said Clement Bon.

Recall that Ukraine announced the closure of its airspace to civil aviation almost immediately after the start of a special military operation of the Russian Federation.
