Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant is Turkey’s first nuclear power plant. The project is implemented on the basis of an intergovernmental cooperation agreement signed in 2010 between Russia and Turkey.
Vladimir Putin noted that the successful implementation of this project will not only bring bilateral cooperation in the energy sector to a new level, but generally contribute to the further promotion of the multifaceted Russian-Turkish partnership.
