Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Kuleba said the counteroffensive by Ukrainian forces should not be seen as the last battle

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba believes that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces should not be seen as the last battle. He made the relevant statement during a joint briefing with the foreign ministers of the G8 Northern Baltic countries.

He explained that the decisive battle was the one that would lead to the complete liberation of the territories of independence, and that the withdrawal could only be at the end, not at the beginning of the battle.

“Those who draw a conclusion about whether this is a decisive battle are actually distorting the picture of our efforts,” Kuleba said.

He also noted that to achieve victory, there may be two or more counterattacks.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said the Ukrainian military was ready to launch a counter-offensive and the command’s decision was currently awaited.

However, Oleg Soskin, a former adviser to Leonid Kuchma, said that despite adverse weather conditions, Russian forces continue their offensive and the Ukrainian armed forces are in critical condition.
