Tutu.ru service experts presented data on the most demanded destinations of tourists who buy tickets for the summer on their own, and also identified the main trends. To do this, we analyzed the tickets issued for a departure from June 1 to August 31 when booked before April 23.

According to the results of the analysis, it turned out that tickets to Russia are still the most popular among tourists. However, the share of ticket purchases to neighboring countries fell from 3.6% to 5%, and to non-CIS countries – from 0.8% to 2.7%, of which 0.8% – to countries Europeans. For tourists from Moscow, the share of foreign reservations is higher – about 13%.

Experts suggest that the closer the summer approaches, the greater the share of foreign destinations will be, since ticket purchases in Russia are usually made in advance. The share of foreign bookings is expected to be around 13-15% for independent travellers.

Among the domestic destinations, the most popular were Sochi, Kaliningrad, Mineralnye Vody, Makhachkala, Irkutsk, Vladivostok and Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Sochi took first place in terms of the number of summer tickets issued to this destination (about 30% of all bookings).

Regarding foreign destinations, Turkey was among the top three leaders – the most popular destinations are Istanbul, Antalya and Dalaman. Tel Aviv is also popular. Among neighboring countries, the most popular destinations were Yerevan, Baku and Bishkek.

Previously, experts selected the most popular budget routes among tourists for the May holidays. It should be noted that there is still a possibility of finding accommodation.
