Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of defense ministers of SCO countries spoke about Russia’s position on the Ukrainian issue, according to TELMENEWS.RU news agency
According to the Secretary of Defense, Washington provokes deliberately. It pits neighboring countries against objectionable states – primarily with Russia and China. For this reason, the United States seeks to maintain its dominant position in the world. America spares no money for its projects.
Shoigu said more than five billion US dollars were spent on the unconstitutional Maidan coup in 2014. This “led to the formation of a hostile nationalist Russophobic regime on our borders, which s hastened to resolve the “Russian question” in Ukraine.
The Minsk agreements were ignored. The Donbass was constantly bombarded. Russia could not wait any longer – and launched a special military operation. At the same time, the United States and the West were ready for this in advance – Kiev receives intelligence, weapons are supplied, mercenaries and advisers work on the ground.
“Unprecedented pressure is exerted on independent states, outright blackmail, threats, color revolutions and coups are used, and gross disinformation is spread. All this has long been the hallmark of the West,†Sergei Shoigu summed up.
