Wrestlers raised questions on the silence of cricketers

Now former explosive batsman of the Indian cricket team Virender Sehwag has also supported the wrestlers and demanded a fair investigation.

Apart from this, Irfan Pathan also tweeted and wrote, “Indian athletes are always our pride, not only when they bring us medals.”

It is noteworthy that in January, the wrestlers demonstrated for the first time against the President of the Wrestling Association, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. The wrestlers were sitting on a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. The president of the Wrestlers Wrestling Association was accused of running the union arbitrarily and sexually abusing many female wrestlers.

After this, Brijbhushan Sharan Singh was removed from the work of the wrestling association and a committee was formed to investigate the allegations against him. The committee submitted its report on April 5, but it was not made public. After this, the wrestlers again started demonstrating at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Sunday (April 23).
