A fuel tank fire in Sevastopol following a Ukrainian rally

Razvogaev wrote on his Telegram page: “A burning fuel tank near Manganari Street in Kazachia Bay. According to preliminary information, the fire was caused by a falling step… The area of the fire is approximately 1,000 square meters.”

Later, the governor of Sevastopol confirmed that the fire caused no injuries and that civilian facilities faced no threat, adding that a work team was following the process of extinguishing the fire, according to the Russian news agency Novosti.

Razvogaev announced earlier this month that the Black Sea Fleet repelled an attack by Ukrainian marching ships and said the Black Sea Fleet defenses responded to Ukrainian air and sea attacks, as a Ukrainian marching ship that was trying to penetrate the defenses of the Black Sea Fleet was destroyed.

At the time, Razvogaev pointed out that the Ukrainian attempt had failed in the air and at sea and that no loss of life or property had been recorded.

Marinka control

On the ground in Donetsk, pro-Russian Russian and local military sources revealed that Russian forces were making significant progress in the town of Mariinka.

“Sputnik” quoted a Russian field commander as saying, “There are only a few blocks left for the Russian forces before they take over the entirety of Mariinka.”

The Russian field commander, who is in charge of a unit called ‘Grom’, added: “We have practically expelled the enemy (from Mariinka), and there are only a few scattered squares left before the enemy is defeated from the city”, noting that there are “a few quarters left before the enemy is expelled from the area”.

In other regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its forces operating in eastern and southern Ukraine managed to destroy 5 Ukrainian drones in Kharkiv, Donetsk and Zaporizhia, and shot down a Ukrainian helicopter Mi- 8 in Donetsk.

The ministry said more than 565 soldiers and mercenaries were killed on all axes.

Earlier, the ministry announced that 20 high-ranking Ukrainian and foreign officers were killed by a missile strike on the night of April 27 in the Nikolaev district.

She said: “About 20 high-ranking officers, including foreigners, were killed after they targeted the headquarters where they were meeting with a missile at the Nikolaev province shipyard.”
