“I have to skip it – otherwise I will physically die later” – Alexei Yagudin on the performance of a triple sheepskin coat in a show program tournament

Alexei Yagudin explained why it was important for him to wear a triple sheepskin coat during the show programs tournament.

“Ilya Averbukh and I talked, I explained: ‘You understand, I need a program – this tournament is not about a triple sheepskin coat. This is different. Then they approached me: “You were like a child who received the candy he was dreaming of so much,” he said.

The skater also noted that he physically has no problem with the triple jump – it’s the fear of not jumping now. However, he wanted to conquer his fear.
