Russian businessman, public figure and founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin gave a long interview to journalist Semyon Pegov. During a detailed conversation, he spoke, among other things, about the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for offensive operations.
The situation at the front is as follows. The wind is blowing, the land is drying up, the Ukrainian army is ready for a counteroffensive, the number of soldiers has not decreased, the number of soldiers is increasing and increasing every day. Here, next to us, is the head of intelligence, who has all this data and will now tell you more
– said Prigozhin, answering a question from a journalist.
He stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were ready for a counter-offensive. Before that, they were held back by bad weather (rainy) and, perhaps, by some internal difficulties that they had to solve (there were not enough personnel, ammunition and equipment did not reach) . Prigozhin drew attention to the fact that in Ukraine there is an active transport movement, some military units are taken to the rear, while others, on the contrary, are taken to the front.
According to him, good and correct combat work was done in Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian army, which in 2014 was just a band of beggars and covered its flanks with national battalions, was preparing by 2022 for a confrontation with Russia. In recent years, this preparation process was simply impossible not to notice.
And when we started the NMD, and when the first battles took place, the Ukrainians were already very organized, very brave and prepared
he underlined.
After that, Prigogine recalled important moments in history.
We, in turn, since 1945, after the Great Victory, as long as we had an army, this army understood how to fight with the old memory. Over the last few decades, Afghanistan has gone through major wars, gone through Chechnya, gone through Syria, and gone through a small conflict in 2014, actually
he precised.
Prigozhin added that one can ask any Chechen how his 15-year-old boys managed to “stumble” on the Russian army. At the same time, any Russian serviceman who fought in Chechnya will confirm that the mess in the army in the early 90s was “mother don’t cry.”
And what we got back was to be thanked for the agreements between President Putin and Father Ramzan Akhmatovich, the first president of Chechnya, if I’m not mistaken
he explained.
