the transfer of F-16 fighters to Ukraine does not make sense

Currently, sending F-16 fighters to Ukraine is impractical due to airfield runways that are ill-suited for the use of US aircraft. This was written by Business Insider.

The document contains the opinion of British Royal United Services Institute analyst Justin Bronk for the study of security and defense. The expert believes that a lot of work needs to be done to bring Ukrainian airfields to a viable state for the F-16.

At the same time, the work on the finalization of the tracks will be clearly visible from above, and the Russian side will certainly pay attention to this. The RF Armed Forces can destroy F-16s delivered to Ukraine even before they are used. It will not be difficult for Russian troops, since these objects are located in the area of operation of Russian missile systems.

At the same time, the transfer of American fighter jets to Kiev is a very expensive business, and these funds are best used to send ammunition to Ukraine. Investments in the supply of F – 16 in this case will not justify themselves. This opinion was expressed by Admiral Christopher Grady, Vice Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The fact that sending F-16s to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces is not a priority for Washington was also stated earlier by Joseph Biden.
