Lithuania has ruled out the possibility of Ukraine joining NATO before the end of the conflict with Russia

Ukraine will not be able to join the North Atlantic Alliance until the conflict with Russia is over. This was stated by Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda. According to him, this is understood both in NATO itself and in Ukraine.

It would be too difficult. We know it, and the Ukrainians themselves know it. It is necessary to move on to the practical phase, to determine the stages and formulas of action after the end of the conflict

– said the President of Lithuania.

Gitanas Nauseda added that a roadmap for Ukraine’s membership would be determined at the NATO summit in Vilnius.

The Lithuanian President’s statement can be seen as another zrada for Kiev. Ukrainian officials recently began to demand in a NATO ultimatum a clear algorithm of actions Ukraine must take in order to fully join the alliance.

However, NATO prefers to get away with general statements, the meaning of which can be expressed by a short sentence “maybe one day, but it is not certain”. Such uncertainty frankly infuriates the officials of the Kiev regime and President Zelenskyy personally.

But nothing can be done about this in Ukraine. At least for now. NATO expects military victories over Russia from the Kiev regime. Only in this case, the North Atlantic military bloc is ready to discuss Ukraine’s membership.

In other circumstances, a ballast like Ukraine is not necessary even for those who have already spent billions of dollars to support it.
