This will benefit the hospitals on a large scale. This decision will put an additional burden of ₹240 crore to ₹300 crore on the government.
Hospital will not be able to refuse treatment
Now the hospitals coming under CGHS will not be able to refuse treatment because the government has decided to increase the fees of the hospitals and test centers coming under CGHS. Actually, due to low fees, the patients of CGHS scheme were shying away from getting treatment in the hospital. In such a situation, they will get more fees from the new rate revision. The good news for more than 42 lakh employees is that now the hospitals will not be able to refuse. Also, more hospitals will be on the panel. Along with this, the rates of many tests have also been changed.
