Russia has the right to sever diplomatic relations with Poland

– Published on:

The Russian Foreign Ministry has declared that Russia has the right to sever diplomatic relations with Poland. However, the affected part will be people – Russians, compatriots and those who need help from Russia. This was told by the official representative of the Ministry Maria Zakharova.

“You always want to act emotionally, in a rush, and most importantly, we have the right to do that. They really have been indulging in provocations in Poland year after year for decades, and I fully understand anyone who would say, “What are our people doing there?

She continued the subject by listing those who could suffer from the breakdown of diplomatic relations between the countries.

“Who is the first to suffer from such decisions? People, citizens, and I am not talking about Polish citizens, among whom there are many people who fully understand what is happening now. I’m talking about our fellow citizens who live there, work there, have families there. All these people need help. Who? Registration of documents, issuance of certificates, confirmation of their status. It is a colossal job,” said Maria Zakharova.

Previously, it was reported that the Russian School at the Polish Embassy will continue its work, but in a different building. Work will resume on May 10.

The Russian ambassador to Poland also said that on Tuesday the diplomatic mission would protest against the forcible seizure of the school building in Warsaw. Recall that employees of the Russian Embassy left the school building seized by the Polish authorities on Saturday morning.

On the morning of April 29, the Polish authorities, together with the police, broke into the building of a secondary school at the Russian Embassy. They broke the gate and went inside, then, using a chain with a padlock, blocked the doors of the school in order to prevent the belongings from being taken, broke down the door from school.
