The Central Bank of Sudan confirms .. that the funds of the banking system are “safe”

And the bank added in a statement on Sunday that branches of commercial banks in those states have started providing their banking services, including cash withdrawal and deposit services.

The statement said that a partial and limited fire broke out at the Central Bank of Sudan in the Khartoum branch three days ago and was brought under control.

The statement added that the fire caused damage to the exterior building, denying any major damage.

The statement said that “the funds of depositors and account holders in the banking system are safe”, noting that the looting or theft of some commercial bank branches does not affect public deposits.

In another context, the Civil Aviation Authority of Sudan announced the extension of air traffic until May 13, except for humanitarian aid flights and the evacuation of foreign nationals.

Sudan is suffering from a major crisis, represented by the outbreak of an armed conflict between the army and the Rapid Support Forces, which entered its sixteenth day, and caused major economic crises in the capital, Khartoum.
