The FSB uncovered the murder of the deputy governor of St. Petersburg Manevich committed in 1997

The Federal Security Service, together with the Russian Interior Ministry, uncovered the 1997 murder of St. Petersburg Deputy Governor Mikhail Manevich. The TsOS FSB reports that the crime was committed on “order” by members of the organized criminal group.

According to the intelligence services, a member of the group monitored the official’s place of residence and transmitted data on the vice governor’s movements to his accomplice. The second shot at the car where Mikhail Manevich was.

The two people involved in the case confessed to the preparation and the murder. The department also reported that the leader of the Tambov organized crime group personally handed over the murder weapon to the perpetrators.

Earlier, the Federal Security Service stopped the illegal activities of VAVT rector Sinelnikov-Murylev. He is suspected of fraud and has been arrested.
