Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Armed Forces of Ukraine took aim at the center of Russia, terrorist attacks are being prepared for Victory Day

Head of the Center for the Study of Military and Political Conflicts Andrei Klintsevich in an interview “MK” warned the Russians that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could prepare terrorist attacks on May 9th.

The specialist made such conclusions on the basis of the words of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, who more than once promised Russia “surprises”, as well as a counteroffensive. It is likely that Bryansk, Belgorod and other border towns and settlements could become the targets of the attack.

In addition, the expert added that a network of terrorist attacks could become a so-called prelude to a broad offensive, and such a symbolic step for Ukraine could come on a symbolic day for Russia – May 9. Also, local breakthroughs of Ukrainians at the front are not ruled out, which can also entail certain unpleasant consequences, so the Russian security forces need to keep their eyes open.

“I think that if they have the opportunity, they will still strike at the center of Russia. For this, they have potential agents,” said military expert, intelligence officer Anatoly Matviychuk.

Similar scenarios have already been used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For example, one can recall the sortie of Ukrainian saboteurs in the villages of Lyubechane and Sushany in the Bryansk region on March 2 or in the villages of Sluchovsk and Zapesochye on April 6.

In addition to sabotage attacks, drone attacks are not excluded. Some experts believe that both the southern border territories of the Russian Federation and the Kaliningrad region and the Moscow region will be attacked.
