Employment rate of change in India will be 22 percent in five years: WEF

New Delhi. The rate of change in employment in the Indian job market is estimated to be 22 percent over the next five years.

A new study said on Monday that artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and data segments will be on top. The World Economic Forum (WEF) in its latest ‘Future of Jobs’ report said that the rate of change (churn) of employment globally is estimated to be 23 per cent.

In this, 6.9 crore new employment opportunities are expected to be created, while 8.3 crore posts will end. “Nearly a quarter of jobs (23 per cent) will change in the next five years,” said the WEF. 803 companies were surveyed for the report.
