Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

South Korea’s deputy foreign minister may come to Moscow

South Korea’s first deputy foreign minister and ex-ambassador to Russia Chan Ho-jin could visit Moscow in mid-May. This is reported by the Yonhap agency, citing sources.

The visit is expected to last two days. During the visit, he intends to meet with a number of Russian officials.

However, the South Korean Foreign Ministry, in a conversation with TASS, did not confirm the diplomat’s intention to come to Moscow. “This message is incorrect,” the Foreign Ministry’s press service responded to a request for comment from Yonhap News Agency.

Jang Ho-jin was appointed ambassador to Russia in the summer of 2022, but already in April 2023 he was offered the post of deputy head of the South Korean Foreign Ministry.

In March, we learned that Canada was going to create an AUKUS-type association with Japan, South Korea and the United States. Paragraph columnist Arina Tkachuk understood what threatens Russia with such an association in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
