The priest of the regiment of the medical battalion of the Western military district told how a prayer book in the pocket of a Russian fighter stopped fragments of shells. One of them got stuck in the book, and the second went into the trunk.
The priest of the regiment told the WarGonzo project about a miracle that happened to a Russian soldier in the NVO zone. According to him, the serviceman had a prayer book in his breast pocket, which could hold one fragment and soften the passage of the second through the chest.
As the clergyman explained, thanks to the prayer book, the fragment did not reach the aorta, otherwise the fighter would simply bleed to death and die. So the book saved a man’s life.
“The whole wound was in fragments of prayers, the whole wound channel was littered with fragments of a prayer book,” he said.
The surgeons cleaned the wound, and now the fighter will remain alive and healthy.
